Thurbo moonlight is an exclusive tea from the beautiful Thurbo Tea Garden. Thurbo Tea Garden has always been known to produce some of the finest Darjeeling Teas and the teas from this estate have been cherished by the tea connoisseurs all over the world. This year the winter when the tea bushes go into hibernation was very harsh. There was no rainfall at all and the prolonged dry spell led to a delayed flush and also the quantity produced was very less. However, we managed to procure some of the finest teas and this particular tea from Thurbo is a masterpiece. The veteran planter Mr. Pranav Mukhia who is a second generation planter and has devoted his entire life for Darjeeling Tea is the estate manager of Thurbo Tea Estate and with his expertise all we can expect id a masterpiece and one of its kind tea.

The aroma of the dry leaf reminds us of the smell that fills the air during the early spring. The fragrance of fresh blooming flowers is spread in the air and we get a fresh sweet aroma. As soon as we open the packet, the nostrils are filled with the fragrance of blooming flowers and the first relatable aroma is that of mint. The appearance is long uncut well rolled leaves with plenty of tips. This tea is among the early manufacturing of the estate and the leaves are very tender and aromatic.

When brewed for 4 minutes, we get an aromatic soft bodied liquor which is light yellowish golden in color. We can smell fresh lilies and baked vegetables. Also a cool mint menthol like aroma hits the nostrils which is very soothing and will make you crave for the tea. The sip starts with a very balanced smooth flavor which is dominated by pleasant sweet jasmine like flavor. We feel a woody taste in our palate with a hint of cool mint that hits our nose. The sip ends well with a very floral aroma.

The brewed infusion is whole leaves having good floral menthol like aroma. The leaves are in shades of green and are uncut.

Overall we can say that this is the finest specimen of exotic, fragrant and aromatic tea. It is a must try for all tea connoisseurs.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fresh water brought to 1^st Boil (90C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 3.5 minutes to 4 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools. Second and third steep gives best result when steeped for full 5 minutes.
