Description
Margarets Hope White Delight is a clonal tea made from the young bushes of B–157 cultivar. Margarets Hope White Delight has been manufactured by MARGARETS HOPE TEA ESTATE. Normally when we talk about CLONAL TEAS the most common cultivar is Av2 but this B–157 tea tickled our palate as soon as we tasted it. It is very rare to get pure B–157 cultivar tea but Margarets Hope Tea Estate manufactured this beautiful tea.
This type of tea is plucked by skilled tea workers who are very careful in their plucking to make sure only the best shoots with prominent buds are plucked. This kind of plucking requires a lot of effort and skill so the workers bring in a very small quantity of leaves to the factory but all are very special. The plucking is of such fine quality that the tea only needs to be hand sorted and the machines used to make the tea are very few.
The dry leaves are bright greenish in shade with a lot of silver tips. The tea is least processed and has natural flavor. The leaves are well twisted and uncut. They are very delicate and we need to handle them properly so that we do not damage the leaves. The aroma is fruity and has hints of roasted nuts. When brewed for 4 minutes, we get a pale-yellow liquor with citrus and fruity aroma. The delicacy of the tea reflects in the cup. The sip starts with a sweet smooth flavor and we can immediately feel the citrus twang on the tip of the tongue. As we gradually sip and the liquor hits our palate the fruity notes become more prominent. We can taste melon and kumquat like flavor which is sweet and citrus. The aftertaste is smooth and has hints of grape like flavor. The infusion is bright green in shade with uncut whole leaves. The aroma is sweet and fragrant.
Overall, we can say that if you wish to try an exclusive rare and smooth tea, this is the finest specimen of exotic, fragrant and aromatic tea. It is a must try for all tea connoisseurs.
