This JUNGPANA VINTAGE CHINA is a fine specimen of Darjeeling Spring Flush. As the name suggests this comes from the chinary cultivar and has the trademark typical JUNGPANA flavour. The dry leaves are long dark green finely rolled leaves with a baked nutty aroma. When brewed for 4 minutes we get a full bodied fruity cup which has a stone-fruit flavour combined with a pleasant green tart taste. The mouthfeel is buttery in texture and it has a fruity apricot like aftertaste. The brewed leaves are fine plucked uncut green leaves and it has a peachy passion fruit like citrus flavour.

Jungpana Vintage China is an ORGANIC TEA from the farms of JUNGPANA TEA ESTATE which is a well-known garden in the Darjeeling Hills. It is known for its consistent quality and flavor. Jungpana is located in the Kurseong Valley and is at a distance of about 10 Kms from the Kurseong Town. Last year the ownership was once again changed for this flagship garden and the MAYFAIR GROUP are the new owners of this esteemed property. MAYFAIR GROUP is a very renowned and prestigious group who are mainly into the hospitality industry and they own some of the best hotels and resorts in India. Of recent this group has entered into the tea industry and have been very successful so far.

The new company came along with a lot of changes in the garden and they have completely revamped and upgraded the old factory which means we get even better quality from the vintage Jungpana.

Last year 2022 was not the best year for Darjeeling Tea Industry. The climate and rains made it difficult to produce good quality tea. However this year we can say that overall the quality has been excellent and we feel proud to offer you the best of our selections.

  • DRY LEAVES: Dark green long twisted leaves with baked aroma. .
  • LIQUOR: Bright yellow with sweet fruity nutty aroma.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fresh water brought to 1st Boil (90C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 3.5 minutes to 4 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools. Second and third steep gives best result when steeped for full 5 minutes.
