Goomtee Spring Classic – First Flush – 2019  (Exotic Chinary Tea) is a pure organic tea made from the early plucking from the MAJUA DIVISION which is also known as The Muscatel Valley. This is an outer division of Goomtee Tea Estate which is pure organic and has only traditional chinary tea bushes. The elevation is 6250 ft above sea levels.

The spring teas made from this section are always of the best quality. Due to high elevation the micro climate conditions provide a different and complex flavor to the tea. This tea is from the very early manufacturing from this division and has been selected for our store by the experienced General Manager – Mr. B. N. Mudgal who has served this estate for more than 45 years.

The flavor is very complex and has different layers. The tea starts with a brisk note which is a touch grassy and towards the mid sip the floral patterns of the tea becomes very loud. The tea ends well with the rich floral tone. The aftertaste is sweet with a very comfortable astringency.

This is by far an amazing tea we have sourced this year and we are sure all tea connoisseurs will enjoy this tea. The tea is good for 2 brewing.

DRY LEAVES: Long twisted greenish leaves with plenty of silver tips.

LIQUOR: Pale yellow with sweet floral aroma very similar to jasmine

INFUSION: Bright green with whole leaves and passion fruit like aroma.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fresh water brought to 1^st Boil (85C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 4 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools. Second and third steep gives best result when steeped for full 5 minutes.
