Description
Goomtee Muscatel Valley MV comes from the ‘MUSCATEL VALLEY’ an out division of this garden. This valley was once an independent tea estate but now is a part of Goomtee Tea Estate. The plantations mainly consists of Chinary Bushes at an elevation of 6000+ ft. The climate is very harsh and cold and during the second flush harvest there is a constant dense fog cover making the growth of leaves slow. This micro-climate results in some of the finest teas produced in Darjeeling.
This tea is one of the best offerings from Goomtee this summer. The leaves are uncut and finely rolled. The aroma is like baked cookies and toasted almonds. When brewed for 4 minutes we get a rich amber liquor with strong musky aroma. The flavor is very thick and prominent. Sip starts with a strong musk flavor which gets sweetened and settled by mid-sip. It ends well with an astringent palate and a flavor residue in the jaws.
A typical Goomtee tea for the tea lovers.
