Castleton Spring Delight – First Flush – 2019 (SFTGFOP-1 – Chinary Special) is a premium tea in our Spring Collection. Castleton Tea Estate is owned by the Goodricke Group Ltd and is among the best quality tea producing garden. The teas from this garden have a very natural flavor and also the factory is among the best in Darjeeling with the most upgraded machinery to produce the best teas.

This tea comes from the upper-most section of the Castleton Tea Estate which was previously known as Gourishankar Tea Estate. The bushes after a hibernation of 3 months during the cold winter give out the best and most delicate bushes which produce the best teas and when the same is managed by the expertise of the Goodricke Group Management, we can only expect the best.

The dry leaves are fine sized greenish black leaves with strong earthy and damp wood like aroma. When brewed for 4 minutes we get fine bright yellow liquor with grassy and floral aroma. The sip starts with a strong umami taste and we it fills the palate but towards the mid sip the fruity taste becomes more prominent. The tea is a little astringent which is very normal for a chinary tea.

DRY LEAVES: Fine sorted greenish black leaves.

LIQUOR: Bright yellow with baked vegetative aroma

INFUSION: Bright green with fruity aroma.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fresh water brought to 1^st Boil (90C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools
