Castleton Muscatel is probably the most sought-after tea from Darjeeling. The finest specimen which defines ‘MUSCATEL’ in the finest way.
The leaves are medium sized well rolled with a roasted almond like aroma. When brewed for 4 minutes it gives a bright amber liquor which is an amazing perfect cuppa tea. The flavor is rich and smooth and there are waves of delicious flavors hitting the palate. The sip starts with a woody fruity tone which gets sweet musky by mid sip and ends smoothly with a soft silky sweet mint like aftertaste.
A simple yet full of flavor tea that defines muscatel in the best possible way. A must have for all muscatel lovers.
- DRY LEAVES: Fine rolled wiry blackish coppery leaves with few green.
- LIQUOR: Bright amber color with strong musky aroma.
- INFUSION: Coppery dark brown leaves with musky mint like aroma.
STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:
Fresh water brought to 1st Boil (95C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 4 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools. Second and third steep gives best result when steeped for full 5 minutes.
