Castleton moonlight is an exclusive tea from the prestigious CASTLETON TEA GARDEN. Over the years Castleton Moonlight has become one of the the most preferred tea variety. This is mainly due to the unique flavor which is natural for Castleton Tea Estate. The climate, elevation, soil texture and latest machinery is perfect combination to manufacture this masterpiece.

The tea has been plucked from the DHOBI TAR section of this garden which is planted at an elevation of 5000 Ft. As the name suggests, this tea has been made from delicate leaves of Av2 cultivar.

The dry leaves are long, curled and uncut with plenty silver buds which are a visual delight. The aroma is very tempting. We can smell the freshness of this tea as soon as we open the packet. The tea is very aromatic and has pleasant floral aroma. When brewed for 4 minutes we get a light golden liquor which has a sparkle in it and the aroma is intoxicating. We get prominent notes of jasmine and lilies. It has a hint of fruity note similar to passion fruit which becomes more prominent in the infusion. As we sip this tea, we can feel the effort given to produce such a masterpiece. Everything about this tea seems to be perfect. The tea has a sweet and balanced mellow flavor. The sip starts with a woody flavor and as the sip touches the palate, we can feel the floral flavour dominating. The sip ends well and leaves a smooth clean aftertaste. As we keep sipping the tea and as the taste buds get accustomed to the tea, the flavor becomes more prominent.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fresh water brought to 1^st Boil (90C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 3.5 minutes to 4 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools. Second and third steep gives best result when steeped for full 5 minutes.
