Introducing the exquisite BALASUN FLOWERY CLONAL, a first flush Darjeeling tea meticulously crafted at the renowned Balasun Tea Estate under the expert care of Jayshree Tea & Industries. Nestled across 450 acres of picturesque plantation, the estate boasts elevations ranging from 2500 ft to 4500 ft above sea level. Its diverse cultivars include 50% pure chinary, 30% Assam Hybrid, and 20% clonal plantations featuring Av2 and P312 varieties. Having savoured the brilliance of last season’s harvest, we eagerly present the inaugural batch of this season’s BALASUN FLOWERY CLONAL.

True to its name, Balasun Flowery Clonal captivates the senses with a distinctly floral profile. A harmonious blend of Av2 and P312 clones, this tea undergoes a transformative journey during the winter months. As the tea bushes enter a dormant phase, diligent fieldwork, including manuring and maintenance, sets the stage for the awaited flush. After nearly three months, the first plucking ensues, capturing the leaves’ natural essence.

Upon inspection, the dry leaves reveal their elegance—long and uncut, donned in shades of forest green with visible silver tips. A prelude to the sensory experience, the aroma emanates notes of baked sweet cookies. A five-minute infusion yields a pale-yellow liquor, exuding a captivatingly sweet and floral bouquet. The initial sip unfolds with the indulgence of thick fruity candy like flavour, gradually giving way to the prominence of floral notes on the palate. • DRY LEAVES: Long fine rolled uncut teas with visible silver buds.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fresh water brought to 1^st Boil (90C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 4 minutes to 5 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools. Second steep gives best result when steeped for full 5 minutes.
