Arya Muscatel – Second Flush – 2018 (SFTGFOP-1 Chinary Musk)

Description

Arya Muscatel is an excellent chinary muscatel sourced from the one of the most famed and iconic Arya Tea Estate. This year we have tasted a consistent flow of good teas from this estate.

The tea is a perfect smooth cup with flavors of pine wood and slight astringent fermented grapes flavor. The leaves are fine sorted and evenly sized. When brewed for 4 minutes we get a bright golden liquor with sweet plum and berries like aroma. The liquor is smooth and has the musky flavor of fermented grapes and wet pine wood. The sip ends well with a hint of astringency.

Overall a perfect smooth perfect second flush muscatel from Darjeeling.

• DRY LEAVES: Fine rolled coppery black leaves.
• LIQUOR: Bright golden colour  with smooth musky aroma.
• INFUSION: Coppery dark brown and blackish green  leaves  with musky aroma.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fresh water brought to 1^st Boil (95C). Add 1 tea spoonful (2 grams) per cup of 150ml. Steep for 3.5 minutes. Strain to cup and sip as it cools. Second and third steep gives best result when steeped for full 5 minutes.
