Today I had been to MAHALDERAM TEA ESTATE which is an OUT DIVISION of JUNGPANA TEA ESTATE. A wonderful picturesque garden nestled in the calmness of mother nature. This is THE HIGHEST ELEVATED GARDEN of DARJEELING from where some of the WOLDS FINEST MUSCATELS are delivered.

We were out on a trek with some local friends enjoying the beauty where I learned another astonishing fact. There is a small village named CHITTREY which is on a MOUNTAIN CLIFF where one slope is EAST FACING and the other is towards the WEST. The water flowing down from the eastern part meets the RIVER BALASUN which merges with the Holy Ganges and the water flowing from the western slope meets RIVER TEESTA which merges with River Brahmaputra.

Well, somehow this fact made our trek even more eventful. Also I am sure these villages if properly explored will make a wonderful TEA TOURISM for the connoisseurs as I personally feel that the Heritage, culture & legacy somehow adds to the flavor of Darjeeling Tea.

I am sure whenever I sip a cup from this estate this small fact will surely enhance the flavor of the tea.
